Well I have been practising being a little "geeky" and have been looking for a way to give a glimpse of so many of the weddings I have done over the past few months. So...rather than just posting photos I found a fun way of showing you. I'm pretty happy with my efforts (she says modestly) and it is my first one so I can only improve from here right?.

IT'S 2012 ALREADY....LETS GET ORGANISED ! !

I really dont know where the time has gone since my last post. It was my earnest intention to write on a regular basis but I think I maybe set the bar too high for myself and so many other events (life in general) got in the way. Here we are about to roll into the second month of 2012 and its been too long since I wrote. So....I dont think there is a chance in the world that I could roll the past few months into one blog and I'm not going to try.

I've been so busy with weddings over the past 6 - 8 months (except June / July when my man and I went away for a beautiful months holiday). I cant possible post all the pics (but I may sneak a few fun ones in). I'm working on a few changes to my website and still learning as I go. I thought the last part of 2011 and first part of 2012 would be quiet as it often can be. Boy was I wrong! I have never had so many enquiries and bookings in a few weeks as I have recently and thats a great confidence booster. Brides and Grooms have become very choosey and I am often the second or thrid Celebrant they meet. The feedback I have been receiving has proved to me that I must be doing something right and so you know what the say "if it aint broke, dont try and fix it!". I will also be available to answer your wedding questions either through this blog but of course via email or through my website. So Happy New Year ....dont listen to any doom and gloom. We live in a wonderful country and are blessed to have what we have and (not have what we dont want).

ALANA & KYLE - LAKE MACDONALD AMPHITHEATRE CEREMONY

The Mediterranean ambience of the pristine Lake Macdonald Amphitheatre painted a fairytale backdrop for Kyle Dameto’s marriage to his sweetheart Alana Henderson.

As Kyle waited and joked in the sun his smile gave way to a tear filled gaze as Alana appeared at the top of the stairs. I don’t think I have ever seen a bigger smile on a brides face before. Wearing Aubergine gowns the bridesmaids looked stunning and Alana’s dress?...well see for yourself…just beautiful.

As tears of happiness flowed, we needed to take up a collection to get enough tissues for everyone. What a breathtaking venue the Amphitheatre at Cooroy is for the perfect wedding. Thanks for allowing me to be part of such a special day Alana and Kyle

Little White Wedding Church ~ Maleny

Travelling up the range to Maleny I was so glad my partner Ian was driving me to my destination, the Little White Wedding Church on McCarthy Rd, Maleny.

As I stared out the window at the rolling hills, breathtaking views and brilliant blue skies, I thought my 'bride-to-be' Rebekah would be so excited because she really thought it would rain today!.

As we arrived it was obvious that the guests were determined not to miss a thing – they were well and truly early and were enjoying the sunshine as we drove into the parking area at the Church. The ceremony reflected exactly what Luke and Rebekah wanted, something special, meaningful yet light and personal. There were lots of laughs and smiles all around.

As usual, Trevor Burns, owner of the White Wedding Church ensured that the final touches were in place, from rolling out the white carpet, to queuing the music and welcoming the Bride as she took the last few steps up to the aisle to greet her Groom Luke who let out a whispered but audible ‘wow’ as she walked toward him.

Congratulations Luke and Rebekah and all the very best for a wonderful future together. I am sure your memories of your wedding day will last a lifetime. Teewah Ceremony for Rob & Bec

What an adventurous day! A car ferry crossing to Teewah Beach on the beautiful Noosa North Shore smack in the middle of the Noosa National Park. Miles and miles of sandy beach and then a little piece of paradise.

The Beach House at Teewah was the location for this beautiful ceremony and the weather was surprisingly brilliant. A cool breeze, a few clouds and beautiful sunshine was reflected in the smiles of the Bride and Groom, Rob and Bec as they exchanged their vows in front of friends and family.

They both wrote their own vows and it was so special to hear what they had to say to each other. It was heartfelt and intimate and I am sure for those moments they were lost in each others presence like no one else was there. A beautiful day with a beautiful couple.

Sun Sand and Ceremony – Rooftop style!

What a way to celebrate your Wedding day! With views to forever (in both directions) we celebrated the marriage of Jenni & Brian from the Gold Coast. Jenni mentioned that originally they were going to hold their ceremony on the beach , but when they climbed the stairs to their rooftop vista at the Atlantis Marcoola there was no other decision to be made. What a stunning view..and the weather was magnificent.

Close family and friends watched on as they smiled their way through their vows, their ring exchange and then to top it off, a beautiful sand ceremony. How could I say no to a glass of bubbly on such a beautiful day? Thanks Brian and Jenni and may you continue to have many happy years together.

Perfect Point Cartwright

A few days before this wedding it was blowing a gale and didnt look promising at all. We had a plan A, B and C (nothing like being organised for all contingencies) but Mother Nature smiled and unveiled a picture perfect afternoon. The guests who had travelled from England, Switzerland and interstate were treated to some of the best the Sunshine Coast has to offer.

As Florence & the Machine pumped out "You've got the Love"...the stunning bridal party arrived followed by our beautiful Bride Sarah arm in arm with her Mum and Dad. Sarah wore Elizabeth de Varga. An elegant full length champagne beaded gown and just looked amazing.....(yes there was an audible "take my breath away moment" by a nervous Tim, her husband to be as he stood beside me). I hope you continue to take each others breath away you two. What a beautiful way to start forever! Thank you for choosing me as your Celebrant.

Flaxton Gardens Fairytale

No Bride ever wants it to rain on their Wedding day but if ever there is a place that caters for a rainy day it's Flaxton Gardens in the Hinterland near Montville and Maleny. I had not conducted a Wedding Ceremony at Flaxton Gardens for a few months and I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived for my recent wedding rehearsal the day before the Ceremony. The owners Georgina and Alan have really added to the already classic ambience of the location with so many gorgeous additions. From the beautiful signature glass doors on arrival, new white chairs, classic chandeliers, surround sound systems, paving through to the stunning "views to forever" Ceremony area, and much more I knew the Bride and Groom would be happy they chose this location.
So...when I arrived to a misty rainy afternoon there were still smiles all round. Often the parents and friends of the couple will come to me with sad faces and curse the rain but the atmosphere and organisation was such that the weather did not phase them and the excitement was palpable. The Barrel room was tastefully decorated with white long stemmed roses and as the music played and the wedding party arrived, the Bride Kirsty just took our breath away.
What a wonderful group of family and friends and a fun filled happy ceremony we had. I cant recommend Flaxton Gardens highly enough for a Ceremony or for that matter any grand occasion. More photos to come...this is just a happy snap that my partner Ian took as we were leaving (playing paparazzi).

Caboolture Wedding Ceremony

Late afternoon in Caboolture. A beautiful cool breeze and a very quiet Golf Course just perfect for a casual wedding on the lawn. A wonderful family occasion shared by friends and family from Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland. Tim and Trish shared their special day with their gorgeous children...who couldnt wait to take centre stage when it was time for the Sand Ceremony.
